Widespread showers and storms are expected across the region today, rapidly increasing in coverage during the morning. While most of the rain will be benefical, there is an increased risk of flash flooding over burn scars along the central mountain chain where up to 1" of rain may fall through this evening. Severe storms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds are possible across the east- central plains as well.
