A freeze warning is in effect for most of south central Nebraska overnight, with temperatures falling as low as 26 degrees within the warning. Crops and sensitive vegetation could be damaged if left unprotected. Lows tonight will range from the mid 20s to low 30s across south central Nebraska, to the upper 30s across north central Kansas. Light rain and snow are possible overnight along and southwest of a line from Kearney, Nebraska to Mankato, Kansas. Any precipitation that does fall is expected to remain light, with no snow accumulation expected. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 40s to mid 50s with mostly cloudy skies. Light rain and sprinkles are possible during the day on Saturday for areas southwest of a line from Cambridge, Nebraska to Beloit, Kansas. Temperatures below freezing are possible Saturday night into Sunday, with the highest chances to see freezing temperatures across south central Nebraska. Sunday will be warmer, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and partly cloudy skies. Highs on Monday will be in the 70s with breezy southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts to 35 mph. Showers and thunderstorm chances return Monday evening and continue overnight.
