Widespread wetting and beneficial precipitation is expected beginning today on the coast, spreading inland to the Cascades tonight into Saturday morning, then east of the Cascades on Saturday. Amounts through late Saturday night/early Sunday morning will be 1-3 inches along the coast, highest in the coastal ranges of Coos and Curry counties. Farther inland, amounts will be be largely 0.75-1.50 inches for areas extending eastward to the Cascades, including the west side valleys, but also the mountains of Siskiyou County. East of the Cascades and in NE California, amounts of 0.25-0.75 of an inch are expected.
