A secondary surge of cold air behind a backdoor cold front will bring much colder temperatures to eastern NM on Saturday, with the front reaching westward into the RGV. Light rain is likely across east central and southeast NM and late day showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder area possible across north central NM.
